Rates

• Revising and editing: 640sek/hr (+160sek VAT*)
• Tutoring: 700sek/hr (+175sek VAT*)
• My editing pace is roughly 1400 words / hour. Some texts (like rough drafts, or those with especially difficult subject matter) and some tasks (like tutoring and heavy revision) will take more time. You can get a more accurate time estimate if you send me a sample of the text (at least a page or two).

Revising and editing

Revising is evaluating a text's organization and suggesting improvements to the logical flow of ideas (generally at the chapter and section level), while editing is evaluating smaller text units (paragraphs, sentences, words) and directly fixing them.

Tutoring

My tutoring services are tailored to your particular text. I use your own sentences and paragraphs as examples to explain why certain changes needed to be made, and I show you how you yourself can diagnose and fix such problems in the future.

Tutoring will include some revising and editing of the text, although a fair amount of that work will (eventually) be performed by the student.

*VAT

Most individuals and institutions in Sweden will need to pay 25% Value Added Tax (mervärdesomsättningsskatt or 'MOMs'). If you are at an EU institution with a reversed VAT agreement, you can choose to pay your own country's VAT instead.
